I don't have too many preferences when choosing an airline, except that I avoid flying American Airlines. In 2022, their scheduling seemed to be suffering due to staff shortages and/or general incompetence, leading to 3 changes to our flights in the space of a few days, with the final flight being to an airport that wasn't our intended destination. American's policy is that dumping you within 300 miles of your intended destination is close enough, and the rest is then up to you. As of 2025, the same policy remains in force.
